FAQ
- How deep can we dive?
Using compressed air, our divers can move 166ft deep, while breathing mixture of Helium and Oxygen can extend it up to 250ft on particular conditions.
- Do divers require any training and certificate?
It certainly does require that commercial divers take up various courses. The least they need is:
Commercial diving HSE Part I certificate in compliance with IMCA standards.
Diving first aid certificate.
Dated medical examine certificate.
Special exertions, such as underwater welding, technical inspection and diving paramedics require extra courses.
- How many should there be in a diving party?
Depending on projects, the number of divers differs, but according to IMCA D-014 guidelines, at least there should be five on each party including a director, a diver, a divers guard, a ready-made diver and also a ready-made divers guard.
- How likely is diving with no sight?
Commercial divers adapt to their environment as quickly as possible. In fact there are plenty of blind projects behind dams and in rivers. Using heir hands, suitable equipments and experience, divers do well in many unsighted projects.
- What is diving pressure room, and when does it come to use?
Pressure room is a cylinder which is loaded with compressed air, so that it holds the pressure of a preferred depth. If necessary, divers enter these cylinders in order to reduce pressure or cure for diving diseases. According to IMCA D-014, there should be a ready-made pressure room for any off sure activity; even though it is a low-depth one.
- When does pressure reduction happen?
Breathing compressed gas in deep water, divers need to reduce pressure in order to egress gases absorbed in their blood circulation. This happens in a stage by stage surfacing or a pressure room using a due timetable. The pressure reduction period depends on projects depth and length. Persian Offshore benefits from the US Navy diver’s pressure reduction directory called US Navy Diving Manual – Revision 4.
- Do commercial diving equipments require any specific standard?
International Marine Contractor Association, IMCA has regulated guidelines for inspections and maintenance of commercial diving facilities. Meanwhile DNV has proposed DNV-OS-E402 standard for commercial diving facility structure. Persian Offshore has committed itself to deployment of these standards.
- What is surface sustenance diving system?
In this method the deep-sea divers get their oxygen supply by using an umbilical cord raised to the surface, which at the same time provides for vocal communication with diving director who, is taking care of operation by the camera fixed on the diver’s top.
According to IMCA guidelines, it is not permitted to use scuba cylinders; instead there should be a surface sustenance system or one that provides communication with control center. Need more? Contact us. We will study your question and send you your required information.
